The Biomedical Technician I maintains medical therapeutic, diagnostic, and monitoring equipment and systems to ensure safety, reliability, and proper operation; ensures equipment meets manufacturers specifications; maintains similar non-medical equipment systems.

• Perform preventative maintenance on medical therapeutic and monitoring equipment; assure compliance with applicable codes and manufacturers specifications.
• Perform repairs and calibrations on medical therapeutic, diagnostic, and monitoring equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance and repair work orders and document the information and test results into biomedical equipment software.
• Perform inspections and/or installations on new medical equipment and properly enter the equipment information into the biomedical equipment software inventory.
• Maintain biomedical equipment supplies inventory; anticipate needs and manage orders.
• Work with outside vendors and service representatives on specialized equipment.
• Keep work area and storage areas clean and orderly; keep tools clean, appropriately stored, in proper working condition, and securely stored.
• Other duties as assigned.
