Engineering & Maintenance Manager

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and direct the Engineering & Maintenance department to improve quality, production output, reduce downtime, and control costs.
• Manage engineering and maintenance teams responsible for battery formation, shipping, and support equipment.
• Lead implementation of Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, TPM, and engineering change controls.
• Conduct engineering change development, cost estimates, documentation, and corrective actions for process nonconformities.
• Provide hands‑on support to operations, including training engineering staff on new processes.

• Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Use TPM and reliability initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and performance.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth integration of engineering changes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering continuous improvement and technical growth.
• Maintain strong documentation and cost‑control practices to support decision‑making and compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (BSEE/BSME) or related field.
• Solid technical knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes, robotics, and assembly systems.
• Experience with Capital Projects.
• Experience implementing TPM and reliability initiatives.
• At least 4 years in manufacturing and 4 years in engineering leadership.

• Familiarity with PLC programming.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
