Job Description Responsibilities include maintaining plumbing systems across district schools, ensuring compliance with safety, OSHA, and state codes, and managing related equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS: Journeyman/Contractor Commercial Experience Required
Performance Responsibilities
Have complete knowledge of safety & operational procedures for machinery & tools relevant to the trade.Know all local, state, and national codes related to new plumbing installation and repair.Maintain all licenses and required training up to date and on record with MPS.Ensure MPS compliance with OSHA, DEP, and DOL regarding plumbing failures and repairs.Estimate and obtain competitive pricing from approved vendors for repairs and replacements.Troubleshoot and complete all necessary repairs to plumbing equipment.Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of school vehicles and equipment.Work directly with the Maintenance Manager to order/maintain adequate parts and inventory to keep MPS running at full potential 24/7.Advise supervisor on new technology and equipment to enhance plumbing savings.Teach and train assigned apprentice employee while maintaining professional behavior with students, staff, and other employees.Ensure timely completion of assigned projects district wide.Be subject to emergency after‑hours call‑outs.Abide by all district policies and state & federal laws.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Physical Demands
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, and work on ladders and lifts; reach above shoulder; crouch, kneel, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand and foot movements within an eight‑hour period. Ability to lift 0–24 lbs. continuously, 25–50 lbs. frequently, and 51–100 lbs. occasionally. Exposure to dust, fumes, gases, and cleaning materials.
