about the position: central oklahoma community mental health center (cocmhc), norman, ok is currently looking for licensed practical nurse's to join their facility to support the program of assertive community treatment (pact) team. The pact team goes out into the community to meet our consumers where they are at by providing resources and mental health support. along with our great benefits we also offer additional compensation for working outside of normal business hours! These shift differentials are stacked on top of your base pay when working evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
minimum qualifications and experience- licensed practical nurse iii: oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse and three years of practical nursing experience.
- licensed practical nurse ii: oklahoma license as a licensed practical and one year of practical nursing experience.
- licensed practical nurse i: possession of a valid permanent oklahoma license

cocmhc was opened in 1968 and was the nation’s first community mental health center. It was funded through a federal grant program that has resulted in similar facilities throughout the country. Built on the premise that people suffering from mental illnesses would be better served in the community as opposed to an institution, the center has played a pivotal role in restoring the lives of countless area residents.
Cocmhc was awarded a carf three-year accreditation for the following programs: pact (program of assertive community treatment), evaluation and referral, adult outpatient, team green psr (psychiatric rehabilitation), systems of care and transitional services, and child and family services. Cocmhc is located in norman, oklahoma and employs approximately 95 individuals from norman and surrounding communities.
