Position OverviewThe Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment and are open continuously, refreshed every two years.
Applicant PoolApplicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.

Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Applied Academics Division Dean, provide instruction in accordance with course descriptions, outlines, class schedules, and Governing Board policies; evaluate student progress, develop and assess learning outcomes, and perform other instructional duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Organize and instruct classes in Accounting, Business Computer Applications, General Business, and other business courses supporting the mission of the Applied Academics Division.
- Provide effective classroom and laboratory instruction using methods and materials appropriate to the subject matter.
- Develop and maintain relevant business curriculum.
- Promote professionalism and ethical conduct as an educator and business professional.
- Collaborate with faculty and administrators on program reviews and advisory committees.
- Emphasize student learning in course design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Show sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Participate in curriculum development, program planning, and evaluation.
- Comply with all institutional policies and procedures.
- Facilitate student learning with appropriate teaching methods.
- Work professionally with colleagues and the college community.
- Participate in business/accounting advisory committees at Yuba College and area universities.
- Maintain currency and depth of knowledge in assigned areas.
- Commit to collaborative governance.
Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
Required QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements
The successful candidate must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Business as governed by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office. All degrees and units used to satisfy minimum qualifications must be from accredited institutions.
General Business / Accounting- Master’s in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration, or
- Bachelor’s in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis, AND
- Master’s in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, or finance.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration, with a CPA license, satisfies this discipline.
- Equivalency:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications specified by Yuba Community College District by the application filing date, or obtain an equivalency determination prior to publication. - Other acceptable combinations:
