The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Positions are filled as needed throughout the year and the candidate pool is refreshed every two years. Applicants remain active in the pool for two years, after which they receive an email with instructions on how to stay active.

Job Title: Part Time – Culinary Arts Instructor

Job DescriptionBASIC FUNCTION:
- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for culinary arts courses up to 10 hours per week.
- Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes.
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, including distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses.
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester.
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees as desired.
REQUIRED DUTIES:
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
The successful candidate must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors:
- Any associate degree and six years of full‑time occupational experience in the related field, OR
- Any bachelor’s degree and two years of full‑time occupational experience in the related field, OR
- Possession of a California Community Life credential in the subject matter area, AND possession of Serv Safe® Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification, plus experience in a hospitality/customer service environment, OR
- The equivalent of the above qualifications.
