The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment and the pool is refreshed every two years.
Applicants will remain active in the pool for two years and will receive an email with information on how to maintain their status.

Job Title: Adjunct Instructor – Biology
Location: Woodland Community College – Woodland, CA
Basic Function- Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for Biology, Ecology, Anatomy, Physiology, or Microbiology courses up to 10 hours per week.
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
- Teach on day, evening, and/or weekend schedules, including distance learning and accelerated courses.
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester.
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees as desired.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Qualifications- Master’s Degree in biological science OR
- Bachelor’s in any biological science AND Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science OR
- The equivalent (e.g., doctoral degree with teaching experience).
- All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications by the application filing date, or have an equivalency determination prior to publication.
Experience: Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience that demonstrates the ability to teach Biological Sciences to community college students.
Physical DemandsRange/Step:
Class I – VII (Based on degree and teaching experience).
