Position Overview
Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part‑time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Applications are accepted year‑round and the pool is refreshed every two years.
Basic Functions- Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for EMT courses up to 10 hours per week;
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
- Assess student learning outcomes every semester;
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees if desired;
- Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly;
- Respond to student communication in a timely manner.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications- Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of experience in emergency medical technology and any certificates or license required to do that work; OR
- Any associate’s degree AND any six years of experience in emergency medical technology AND any certificate or license required to do that work; OR
- The equivalent.
- Complete an online application through the People Admin portal, including submission of a resume, letter of interest, EEO/Diversity statement and unofficial transcripts;
- For foreign transcripts, include a U.S. evaluation and translation. for a list of acceptable agencies providing foreign transcript services;
- Provide fingerprints to the local police department; fees charged by the Department of Justice and FBI for the fingerprint report are the employee’s responsibility; fingerprint clearance must be received prior to the first day on the job;
- Applicants in the pool will remain active for two years; after two years applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.
