Overview

Multi-disciplinary OD/MD practice is looking to recruit a Primary Care Optometrist with emphasis on medical model treatment. The Yuba City area is an easy 35 minute reverse commute from Sacramento/Roseville/Lincoln. Not corporate or private equity owned. Excellent collegial relations between ODs and MDs who work together to provide full-scope care. High incidence of glaucoma, cataract, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy. Laser cataract surgery and LASIK are performed in our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center.

This candidate will have the benefit of training and guidance from a seasoned team of doctors. New grads are encouraged to explore this opportunity with or without residency. Our team can fill in the gaps in your training.

• Provide primary care optometry with emphasis on medical model treatment as part of a collaborative OD/MD team.
• Collaborate with MDs to manage full-scope eye care, including glaucoma, cataract, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy cases.
• Participate in a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center environment where laser cataract surgery and LASIK are performed.
• Receive ongoing training and guidance from an experienced group of doctors.
• Offer flexible scheduling options (full-time or part-time) with potential for synchronous remote exams 1–2 days per week.
• Engage in a professional team with strong collegiality and opportunities for professional growth.

• Optometry Doctor (OD) licensed to practice in the applicable state.
• Interest in medical-model eye care and collaboration with ophthalmology peers.
• Willingness to work in a team-based, patient-centered setting; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to participate in remote examinations if needed (1–2 days/week).

• Salary: $200,000 – $450,000 annually
