Diesel Mechanic, Earn up to $36.15/hr
. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 2nd shift – 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. PTO available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and an excellent benefits package that includes access to employee resorts.

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Ypsilanti, MI Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, including preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This may include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding depending on location.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Conduct major repairs when required
• Work with AC and Electrical systems
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Use and maintain own tools
• Assist with maintenance of trailers and related equipment

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Experience with preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders
• Experience with trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must have own tools
