A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Ypsilanti, MI, serving a K-12 day center focused on students with Severe Cognitive Impairments (SCI). This contract role spans the current school year, beginning ASAP through May 22, 2026, and requires onsite presence to work directly with the student population.
Responsibilities- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to K-12 students with severe cognitive impairments
- Utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and assistive (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). to support communication goals
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement effective therapy plans
- Maintain progress documentation and comply with state caseload guidelines, with a maximum caseload of 60 students (final caseload details to be discussed)
- Ensure compliance with all applicable educational and clinical standards and regulations
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within school settings, particularly with severe cognitive impairment populations
- Proficiency in AAC and assistive technology device implementation
- Ability to provide onsite therapy and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Candidates holding SLP-CF or SLPA credentials are not eligible for this role

Ypsilanti, Michigan (onsite position at a K-12 day center)
