Assistant Store Manager; Store

• Provide best‑in‑class guest service and promote Game Stop’s guest benefits.
• Support the total shopping environment, including visual merchandising and sales initiatives.
• Process guest purchases and return transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Respond to guest comments or questions and handle phone calls professionally.
• Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training associate performance.
• Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and merchandised store environment.
• Ensure all store policy, procedures, and compliance training is completed for associates.
• Monitor inventory control, loss prevention practices, and bank deposit procedures.
• Support sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.

• Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

• Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrate clear objective achievement in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work independently and within a team to perform all tasks effectively.
• Operate the POS computer system and complete required paperwork.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays (minimum 3 days/week).
• Physical ability to lift and move merchandise up to 30 lbs and stand for up to 12 hours per day.
