The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets all customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company best‑practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation.
Essential Functions- Practice safe behaviors; keep the sales floor safe and secure.
- Maintain clutter‑free egress to emergency exits; report any unsafe conditions.
- Treat customers and Associates with respect; stay friendly and professional.
- Assist customers as needed, including register training, merchandise assistance, and answering questions.
- Respond promptly to customer service calls and handle issues courteously.
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high‑touch areas.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code.
- Perform daily sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, and organized store.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor quickly and according to guidelines.
- Understand loss prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
- Maintain integrity, safeguarding confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
- Follow Mark‑Out‑of‑Stock policies and cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrate urgency to perform efficiently and maximize productivity.

- Effectively communicate with customers, Associates, and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
- Stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100 % of working time.
- Bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
- Additional assignments may require other qualifications.
- Stockroom shifts: push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.
