Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro/Spine (5S) – St. Elizabeth Youngstown

Join Bon Secours Mercy Health in the role of Registered Nurse (RN) focusing on neuro/spine care. This full‑time night shift position is housed in a multidisciplinary team, caring for acute neuro/spine injuries and post‑operative patients.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with state and BSMH policies.
• Act as a point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
• Serve as a safety advocate, participating in quality improvement and patient advocacy, including spiritual, palliative, and ethics collaboration.
• Provide education to patients and families, and facilitate learning among nursing staff.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team collaboration to establish goals and strategies for discharge or continuing care.

• Current RN license in the state of employment (or covered by the Multi‑State Nursing Compact).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS; preferred upon hire.
• Medical‑Surgical Nursing Certification (RN‑BC) preferred; other critical care certifications (CCRN, PCCN, CMSRN) preferred.
• One year of RN experience; six months in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to apply evidence‑based patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under high stress and fluctuating workloads.
