Spray paint surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, epoxy, or polyurethane with conventional or airless sprayers and performing the following duties.

• Attaches slings to pipes or other parts to move with a forklift into positions or onto stands for painting
• Cleans grease and dirt from product
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
• Removes rust from metal with powered wire wheel or wire brush
• Perform weekly inventories on supplies and paint

• One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training preferred
• 1 year experience operating industrial paint equipment
• 2‑5 year’s experience working in an manufacturing or industrial environment
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule and overtime
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
• Must be able to work as a team
• Ability to pass a drug test
