Summary: The Warehouse Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing and processing outbound materials (outbound gas packages and material sent for post processing), ensuring finished goods meet quality standards and maintaining accurate documentation along with warehouse operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare, package and stage outbound shipments, including large gas packages and materials for post processing.
- Verify finished goods meet visual quality, labeling, and packaging requirements by quality checks along with reporting non-conformities and/or discrepancies.
- Create and maintain itemized lists of sub-assemblies and components for outbound orders.
- Partner with the Warehouse team to track materials requiring post processing or special handling.
- Receive and unload inbound shipments. Inspect shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Operate fork truck, overhead crane, powered pallet jack, manual pallet jack, dolly, etc., to move material throughout the warehouse.
- Read packing slips, check accuracy against materials received, and enter information into the ERP system to account for receipt of materials.
- Mark materials with identifying information as needed.
- Convey and put away parts in the appropriate locations within the warehouse shelves, bins, and racks in accordance with predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, product code, etc.
- Use the ERP system to determine customer material needs and release parts to orders.
- Read and interpret pick tickets, locate and pick parts, and distribute them within the facility or prepare them for outbound shipment as needed.
- Use carrier websites to create shipping documents and arrange freight shipments with customers or carriers. Prepare parcel packages and LTL loads for shipment.
- Request warehouse supplies as needed.
- Complete inventory cycle counting requirements as assigned.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent; two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as engineering specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, and employees.

Physical DemandsRead computer monitor and written documentation. Requires bending, standing and reaching. Sit for long periods of time. May lift and/or move at least 15 pounds.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is representative of those encountered while working at Dearing Compressor. The office environment is typically quieter, while plant operations require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection. The plant area has moving mechanical parts, temperature variations, odors, airborne particles, and vibration.
The noise level in manufacturing areas is usually loud.
