Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Youngstown—an accredited 60‑bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Mercy Health—is inviting applications for an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to work on a PRN basis. • Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients’ families or nursing staff in follow‑through programs and home exercise routines.
• Assist with patient scheduling and post‑treatment charges to patient records daily.
• Document patient care accurately, adhering to all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.

• Current state licensure/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Preferred:
  Previous experience in patient care.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong communication, time‑management, and clinical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred.
• Near‑vision acuity sufficient for accurate reading of equipment and recording in patient medical records.
• Physical ability to lift, support, and move patients.
