Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), PRN
Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Youngstown—an accredited 60‑bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Mercy Health—is inviting applications for an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to work on a PRN basis. How You'll Contribute- Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients’ families or nursing staff in follow‑through programs and home exercise routines.
- Assist with patient scheduling and post‑treatment charges to patient records daily.
- Document patient care accurately, adhering to all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
- Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.

- Current state licensure/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
- Preferred:
Previous experience in patient care. - Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong communication, time‑management, and clinical documentation skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred.
- Near‑vision acuity sufficient for accurate reading of equipment and recording in patient medical records.
- Physical ability to lift, support, and move patients.
