Daily Expectations And Duties - Overview

• Prepares a well-balanced and healthy menu each day.
• Follows all requests for special diets in order to assure good patient health.
• Maintains the kitchen area and supplies in a clean, safe and sanitary manner, upholding the standards of all federal, state and local licensure/regulations.
• Ensures that appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, freezer, etc.) are in operable condition.
• Places work orders on all appliances as needed.
• Maintains inventory and submits food/beverage orders to supervisor on a weekly basis.
• Receives menus and orders food for other programs.
• Maintains weekly/monthly food menu according to state/agency standards.
• Develops programming to improve life skills of clients (cooking programs).

Schedule

This position requires the ability to work a 4 day work week! Hours are 10 hour shifts, rotating weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Food Service Safety Certification Preferred
• A minimum of 2 years previous Cooking and Dietary experience
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
