Additional Information: Part-time faculty are pooled positions; appointments are made on an as needed/rolling basis.

Summary of Position

Teach by semester for entry-level mathematics and statistics courses, including, but not limited to, undergraduate-level general education statistics, college algebra, quantitative reasoning, or trigonometry. Develop and deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction in mathematics and statistics.
Position Information
Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at YSU Campus.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: At least a master's degree in mathematics or master's degree in a related field with eighteen graduate hours in mathematics, statistics, or data analytics. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior college-level teaching experience or appropriate K-12 teaching certification. Proficiency with instructional tools and technology. Experience teaching online courses or experience with Web Assign, My Labs Plus /My Math Lab  and/or Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces (ALEKS).
