Teaches foundational and advanced courses in TV and video production, public relations, and emerging media, helping students build strong technical, strategic, and storytelling skills across multiple platforms. Provides hands‑on instruction in studio and field production, writing for media, and digital content creation.
In addition to teaching, serves as an adviser to student media, providing mentorship, project guidance, and industry‑informed feedback to enhance award‑winning, student‑led productions and organizational operations.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources. Works closely with students on productions.

Required Certifications, Training, and/or LicensuresNone
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in media, communication, journalism, or a related field;
- Experience teaching university level courses;
- Professional experience in television production, strategic communication or public relations.
- Student media advising experience.
- Experiential‑learning teaching style.
- Experience engaging in local community through service activities.
- Experience navigating industry‑standard software and emerging technologies.
- Experience teaching one or more of the following areas: sports communication, media ethics and literacy, social media, audio production, and/or media promotions.
