** Quality Assurance Technician
** at our
** Yorkton, SK
** location.
** Responsibilities:
*** Full chemical analysis on all stages of oil processing from seed to refined, bleached and deodorized oils
* Ensure products are being made according to documented internal Richardson and customer requirements
* Providing release approval to pre-load and load oil products
* Provide analysis for non-conforming products and feedback to production on required analysis
* Verify incoming raw materials meet food safety quality requirements
* Conduct retained sample collection and ensure samples are controlled for the required period of time
* Recognize actual / potential food safety and quality issues
* Conduct inspection and testing analysis on incoming raw materials, additional in-process and finished product
*
* Qualifications:
*** Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology or Chemistry
* 3 - 5 years previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
* Familiar with GMP and HACCP
* Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills
* Must be willing to work shifts and overtime
