Roller Operator

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Asphalt Roller Operator to join our paving crew.

The Asphalt Roller Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a vibratory roller to compact asphalt during paving operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in road construction, a strong understanding of compaction techniques, and a commitment to workplace safety.

• Operate asphalt roller to compact hot mix asphalt to required density and specifications
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
• Monitor mat temperature and rolling patterns to ensure proper compaction
• Work closely with the paving foreman and crew to maintain smooth paving operations
• Identify and report mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Follow all company safety policies and provincial OH&S regulations

• Experience in road construction and asphalt paving operations
• Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1A or 3A considered an asset)
• Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors
