We are looking for an Health and Safety Advisor with experience in Transport and Logistics to join our team.

You will be travelling nationally on a weekly basis; a hire car will be provided. The occasional stay over will be required.

• Annual salary £32,800 - £41,100 dependent on skills and experience. Plus, an annual on target bonus of 5%
• Role based:
  New Lane, Huntington, York, YO32 9PT
• Contract type:
  Permanent
• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
• You will be provided with a hire car for travelling

• Lead accident/incident and near miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are concluded and follow up closure of all issues.
• Monitor and drive engagement with hauliers.
• Identify and implement best practice for transportation and Logistics within Portakabin.
• Support safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards.
• Communicate and reinforce HSE processes and procedures.
• Develop and engage sound relationships with internal and external customers.
• Carry out site audits to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
• Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced.
• Ensure that all necessary documentation and information on all matters of HSE is provided in a timely and complete manner.

• NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, processes and procedures.
• Experience in Transportation and Logistics
• Competent in using Microsoft packages including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Able to analyse and present data.
