Overview

We are an 8 station Haemodialysis Unit caring for patients with chronic kidney disease. Part of York Renal Services, our unit is based in Harrogate and operates Monday to Saturday 06:30am to 00.00pm. No previous dialysis experience is required; a comprehensive training package will be provided. We value an interest in renal nursing and will support you with ongoing training from the nursing team and the Renal Clinical Educator.

Hours & Shift Requirements

You must be able to commit to the full range of service hours. If you live outside the local area, please ensure you are able to reliably travel to all shift times at our Lancaster Park Road site (HG2 7SX
). Flexibility is required to cover occasional shifts at York or Easingwold and to contribute to a limited out‑of‑hours on‑call service.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high standard of patient‑focused care
  • Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept
  • Adapting communication style to suit the patients and carers’ needs to ensure they have access to appropriate information
  • Build, promote and maintain positive relationships within the team to enable the best service for our patients
  • Work flexibly, when required, to meet the wider service needs within our unit
