Senior Bridge Engineer

A Leading Consultancy is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to take the lead in delivering exciting and technically challenging projects across the UK. You’ll be managing the full project lifecycle — from concept to completion — while working directly with clients, guiding talented teams, and shaping the future of our employee-owned business.

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of engineering projects — with a focus on bridges and structural engineering
  .
• Develop conceptual designs, produce engineering drawings and reports, and ensure technical excellence and compliance
  .
• Oversee and review calculations, specifications, and technical reports
  .
• Manage project budgets, prepare tenders and fee proposals, and maintain strong client relationships
  .
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  .
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical excellence within the team.
• Support business development through proposals and technical submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients for on-time, on-budget delivery
  .

• Degree in Civil Engineering (ICE-accredited).
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (ICE or related body).
• 5+ years
  ' experience in bridges and structural engineering
  .
• Strong technical, leadership, and project management skills.
• Excellent communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station an advantage.
• PTS/Sentinel Track Safety beneficial.
• Flexibility for occasional site, overnight, or weekend work.
