Field Based Electrical Engineer – Print and Packaging Machinery
West Yorkshire based with National travel
Salary circa £45k upwards plus overtime, plus expenses, plus company vehicle
We’re working with a well-established and highly respected engineering business that installs and supports specialist machinery within the print & packaging sector. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking to recruit a Skilled Electrical Engineer / Technician to join their technical team.
This is a field-based role, supporting customers across the UK, offering a varied workload and exposure to high-spec machinery and control systems.
The Role:
Electrical installation, commissioning, fault-finding, and servicing of print & packaging machinery
Working with PLC-controlled systems, including diagnostics and modifications
Supporting breakdowns, upgrades, and preventative maintenance
Liaising with customers on-site to ensure smooth handover and ongoing support
Key
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer / Electrical Technician within the print / packaging industry
Strong working knowledge of PLCs – Siemens and/or Mitsubishi
Background in industrial print, packaging or converting machinery
Comfortable working in a field-based / customer-facing role
Electrical qualifications preferred (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND or experience based equivalent)
Full UK driving licence, willingness to travel and stay away from home when required
