Responsibilities- Has the ability and proficiency to setup and operate machines.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities produced, machine settings and any issues encountered.
- Ability to perform work at process speed and/or standard rates.
- Advise supervisor with any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operator.
- Maintain daily product and scrap records.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Keeps work station and surrounding area clean.
- Maintain all assigned tools.
- Any other duties as required by management.
- Must have 2 years of manufacturing experience at same location.
- Mechanically inclined or ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines including cleaning and lubricating machines.
- Must be willing to be cross trained on multiple roles.
- Must be able to read, write, and count.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in production.
- Good hand eye coordination. Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to speak, read or write English preferred.
