Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team in York County, South Carolina
. This role focuses on general criminal defense
, representing clients in a wide range of misdemeanor and felony matters at the trial level.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on courtroom experience, strong client management skills, and the ability to handle cases from intake through resolution. This is a full-time position
, with a strong preference for working on-site five days per week
.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in general criminal defense matters
    , including misdemeanors and felonies
  • Handle cases from initial appearance through trial, plea, or resolution
  • Conduct court appearances in York County and surrounding jurisdictions
  • Draft and argue motions, including suppression, discovery, and dismissal motions
  • Negotiate with prosecutors and advocate for favorable case outcomes
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy and developments
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage an active caseload
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of criminal defense experience
  • Experience handling general criminal defense cases at the trial level
  • Active and good standing license to practice law in South Carolina
  • Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage deadlines and maintain a high-volume caseload
  • Commitment to client advocacy and ethical practice
