Delivery Solutions Architect - Financial Services

Overview

Delivery Solutions Architect - Financial Services  will collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to accelerate adoption of the Databricks platform in assigned customers, focusing on complex workloads to maximise value and return on investment.

This is a hybrid technical and commercial role. You will drive growth within your customers and use cases by leading stakeholders, building executive relationships, coordinating with Databricks teams, and creating and driving plans for colleagues. You will also serve as the post-sale technical lead across Databricks products, engaging with the organization at all levels. You report to a DSA Manager within Field Engineering.

• Engage with Solutions Architects to understand the full use case demand plan for prioritised customers
• Lead the post-technical win technical account strategy and execution plan for the majority of Databricks use cases within our most strategic accounts
• Be the accountable technical leader assigned to specific use cases and customers across multiple selling teams, driving onboarding, enablement, success, go-live and healthy consumption of the workloads
• Be the first contact for technical issues related to production/go-live status of agreed use cases
• Leverage Shared Services, User Education, Onboarding/Technical Services and Support resources, escalating to expert technical colleagues as needed
• Create, own and execute a point-of-view to accelerate key use cases into production, coordinating with Professional Services on engagement proposals
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering for new product innovations, previews and upgrade needs
• Develop an execution plan covering all activities of all customer-facing technical roles and teams, including:
  • Main use cases moving from win to production
  • Enablement / user growth plan
  • Product adoption strategies to increase adoption of Databricks’ Lakehouse vision
  • Organic needs for current investment (e.g., cost control, tuning & optimization)
  • Executive and operational governance
• Provide internal and external updates – KPI reporting on usage, customer health, investment status, risks, product adoption and use case progression to leadership

• 7+ years of experience accountable for technical project/program delivery in Data and AI, with ability to contribute to technical debate and design with customers
• Programming experience in Python, SQL or Scala
• Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role
• Understanding of solution architecture related distributed data systems
• Understanding of how to attribute business value and outcomes to project deliverables
• Technical program or project management including account, stakeholder and resource management
• Experience resolving complex escalations with senior customer executives
• Experience conducting discovery workshops, creating strategic roadmaps, business analysis and managing delivery of complex programmes/projects
• Track record of over achievement against quota or objectives
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Can travel up to 30% when needed

Actual compensation depends on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and location. The package may include annual performance bonus, equity, and listed benefits. Local Pay Range: $161,300—$225,800 USD
