Machinist

We are seeking a skilled machinist with adaptable Field Service Technician to join our team. In this hands‑on role, you will fabricate, troubleshoot, and inspect our conductor bar systems at customer sites across the country. • Perform precision machining, fabrication, and modification of conductor bar components, copper elements, enclosures, and related hardware using lathes, mills, saws, and other shop equipment.
• Travel to customer facilities (domestic, occasional international possible) for on‑site installations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical/mechanical issues in conductor bar systems, including troubleshooting power distribution, collector assemblies, and support hardware.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, and internal teams to deliver solutions under tight deadlines.
• Maintain detailed service reports, safety documentation, and inventory of tools/parts during field work.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, company procedures, and industry regulations.

• Proven experience in machining (manual/CNC lathes, mills) and working with metals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills, able to think on your feet and resolve issues in the field independently.
• Willingness and availability to travel.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, industrial equipment, or crane/power distribution is a strong plus (but not required).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work at heights, and in various industrial environments.
