Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a PA or compact license and at least three years of Level II or higher trauma experience.

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Responsibilities include both scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures
• Proficiency required with Davinci xi robotic surgeries; familiarity with DV5 Davinci robot is a plus
• Caseload spans general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (not cardiac), trauma, and orthopedics cases
• Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 to 19:00)
• Required to work 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule; shifts may be day, evening, or night
• Mandatory 2-3 call shifts within a 6-week period with a 30-minute call-back response
• Uses Epic for charting, with previous Epic experience strongly preferred
• No floating to other units required
• Duties may include care for COVID patients as assigned
• Call response requires arrival onsite within 30 minutes
• RTO (time off) is capped at 7 days per contract
• Must be able to work holidays as assigned by the department, with shifts potentially on days, evenings, or nights
• Pre-assignment clinical screening and manager interview required for final consideration
• Work environment is strictly tobacco and fragrance free
• No refresher or onsite retraining provided; must function autonomously in all listed specialties
• Travel pairs are permitted but matched schedules are not guaranteed

• Active PA or compact RN license, in good standing, with no disciplinary actions
• Minimum of three years' Operating Room nursing experience
• At least one year of Level II or higher trauma center experience is required;
  Level I trauma experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must be able to independently scrub and circulate
• Competence in robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology specialties with Davinci xi robot
• Certification in BLS through AHA or ARC
• Completion of pre-employment modules prior to start
• Must be tobacco and fragrance free while on premises
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
