Job Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Processing Supervisor to lead daily post‑harvest processing activities at our Yellow Springs, OH facility. The role supervises a team of processing agents and ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards. Core areas of oversight include deboning, sifting, grading, trimming, product remediation and sanitation. The supervisor supports quality control processes, scheduling, training and productivity tracking while reporting directly to site leadership.

Core

Job Duties
  • Oversee daily workflows and assign team members to post‑harvest activities including deboning, sifting, grading, and final trimming.
  • Train and coach team members on procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  • Perform initial bulk QC inspection of batches.
  • Report quality issues to Quality and Facility leadership.
  • Create and manage Processing Work Orders.
  • Monitor productivity and ensure processing tasks are completed within established time frames.
  • Maintain accurate records through Biotrack, Trym, or other facility tracking systems.
  • Approve timecards, manage shift coverage, and support scheduling adjustments.
  • Verify accurate weighing and logging of material.
  • Collaborate with engineering and facilities teams to ensure appropriate dry room and product storage conditions.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment across all post‑harvest areas, including dry rooms, trimming rooms, and processing spaces.
  • Ensure that all functions are performed to the highest standard of quality and compliance.
  • Operate or train on specialized remediation equipment such as RS420 as needed.
  • Oversee product remediation activities in preparation for third‑party testing and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Prepare and submit lab samples, assist with third‑party sampling visits, and maintain compliance records.
  • Support hiring efforts for the department, including interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Identify and address personnel issues and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
  • Two years of supervisory or managerial experience with demonstrated management of agents and operations.
  • 2–3 years experience in a production, food manufacturing, or similar environment; cannabis experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
  • Effective time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal tracking systems and compliance platforms.
  • Requires work around plant material, including exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
  • Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or perform repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 lb to torso level.

Pay Range

$52,000 – $57,000 USD
