Sanitation Associate

Position Summary

Maintain all sanitation standards established by the campus.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)

§ Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.

§ Sweep and mop slots, clean restrooms, break-rooms and offices in assigned areas.

§ Clean sanitation equipment, which includes sanitation boxes and mops

§ Record all damaged product on a damage control sheet.

§ Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency

of the distribution center

§ Maintain equipment daily; topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment

§ Record and report all damaged product properly

§ Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris

§ Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance

§ Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group

or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs

§ Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.

§ Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

§ Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills

§ Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.

§ Stand for long periods of time

§ Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered

§ industrial trucks)

§ Meet production standards set by the company

§ Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers § Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties § Proficient use of computer for data entry and research purposes § Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment

Education

§ High School Education

§ Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable

Experience

§ Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
