Maintenance Assistant Technician (1st Shift)

Job Summary:

Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant Technician to join our facilities team on our 1st shift. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of our campus, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Maintenance Assistant Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: repairing, replacing, and installing equipment, fixtures, and appliances

  • Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director or his assistant, the Maintenance Tech has responsibility for the boiler room, electrical room, mechanical room and all mechanical equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner

  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify potential maintenance needs and address issues promptly

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime

  • Operates Pleasant Acres motor vehicles

Maintenance Assistant Technician Requirements:

  • Requires extensive and progressive experience in Maintenance work with appropriate schooling or tech certification, but not necessary.

  • May be required to work overtime as assigned or requested (snow removal, disasters, etc.)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Valid driver's license (may be required for certain tasks)
