• Ensure the site’s activities compliance to all relevant Environment & Sustainability regulations and standards (local, state, and company). Support the HSE Head to maintain the environment permits.

• Serve as the primary point of contact with site related environmental regulatory agencies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.

• Advice on Environmental & Sustainability Compliance Issues.

• Support Site HSE Head on Environmental-related regulatory strategies and compliance issues.

• Support compliance with regulatory and company Environment requirements.

• Advice on Regulatory Compliance.

• Develop and implement site plans in alignment with Sanofi Environment & Sustainability Planet Care policies (Eco-Design, Climate change, waste circularity, water stewardship, Biodiversity…).

• Develop local Environmental & Sustainability Policies and programs.

• Validate the site’s budget and stratplan to allocate sufficient res sources to achieve the environmental programs).

• Conduct assessments and mitigate environmental impacts associated with the site’s operations:
  Identify, assess and manage environmental impacts and opportunities.

• Implement Process Improvements.

• Monitor the environmental performance of the site and oversee the monitoring of environmental parameters, such as air pollution, water and wastewater quality, waste management, and GHG emissions.

• Lead initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of the site, including Eco-design, water stewardship, waste, Biodiversity, support the engineering team to optimize the use of the resources and reduce the site’s environmental footprint (Energy, PIE, Water efficiency roadmap, etc).

• Decide on Sustainability Initiatives.

• Follow progress on Environment improvement projects and initiatives.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement initiatives and drive innovation in environmental practices and process improvements to maintain a competitive edge.

• Recommend Resource Management Strategies.

• Leads investigations into environmental severe impacts, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Approve the final reports and recommendations following safety incident investigations.

• Lead & promote proactive HSE Culture on environmental topics by developing and delivering training programs on Environment & Sustainability for all employees and stakeholders to guarantee that all employees have the knowledge and capabilities needed for their tasks.
