The School District of the City of York Bearcat Opportunity Program (herein "BOP") Site Coordinator for grades 1-8 provides instruction for the after school program. A BOP After School Site Coordinator must demonstrate the vision and passion necessary to lead an innovative program dedicated to educational enrichment and academic excellence. The Coordinator shall report to the BOP Program Director and will be required to work collaboratively and effectively with the BOP After School Program Director, as well as with all BOP staff.

The BOP After School Program Site Coordinator must be present each day, demonstrate appropriate professional decorum, promote an atmosphere conducive to learning, exhibit a customer service mindset, manage deadlines and maintain discipline with energy, integrity, creativity and drive.

Experience and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Education preferred

2. Working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, database and other computerized

office programs including, but not limited to Google Suite and Microsoft Suite.

Experience with program coordination, implementation and supervision.

4. Experience developing and implementing a budget

5. Basic knowledge of publication layout and design preferred.

The BOP After School Program Site Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of student lessons in reading/writing, mathematics, and character education in accordance with the School District of the City of York's policies and the BOP After School Program goals. Classroom duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all programming at their assigned school.

Work directly with building Administrators to ensure effective communication and collaboration is taking place.

Oversee and monitor student attendance and discipline during program hours.

Lead After-School Program Teachers

Responsible for employee scheduling and absence management, communication with building Administrators and other administrative tasks necessary to successfully drive the program.

Work with building Administrators and staff to recruit students.

Help deliver targeted and intensive reading/writing and mathematics instruction with a structured, regular routine.

Maintain regular communication with all parents regarding student attendance, student progress and student disciplinary matters.

Other duties as assigned by the After School Program Director.
