Travel RN - Leadership - Nurse Manager

American Traveler is hiring an RN Care Manager for a hospital-based role requiring a compact or ME RN license and significant experience in care management and discharge planning.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital setting with responsibilities spanning all inpatient units,

• 40 hours per week, with variable shift options: either 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or four 10-hour shifts from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm,

• No on-call required,

• Weekend and holiday rotation required,

• Coordinate utilization management activities throughout the hospital,

Job Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required,

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing required,

• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in med/surg nursing, home care, hospital case management, and/or utilization review required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• CCM or ACM certification preferred,

• Utilization review and discharge planning experience required,

• Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills necessary,

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing patient needs and transitioning patients to appropriate care settings,

• Collaborate with and lead an interdisciplinary team in care planning and daily rounds,

• Arrange for patient resources including equipment, transportation, and insurance authorizations,

• Participate in managing length of stay and understanding of hospital quality measures,

• Work with community organizations to support patient care transitions,
