DescriptionAssists in leading a team of Euroline manufacturing personnel by communicating job expectations; monitoring work flow, and ensuring all work and rework is tracked in company s systems. Coach individuals within department to achieve maximum performance potential while maintaining a safe and organized work area. Enforce system use and adherence to established policies and procedures.
RequirementsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee your work center to maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process and ensuring all work is tracked in E2; establishing minimum thru put expectations per team member.
- Facilitate reporting of discrepancies to supervisor. (30-40%) Schedule and assign personnel to accomplish production requirements with time expectation for each item and each team member; establish priorities and monitor progress; resolve work flow problems and report results of the process flow on shift production summaries. (20-30%)
- Maintains quality of items processed by returning any non-conformances to reproduction for fixing.
- Report quality issues to supervisor verbally and via WC inspection forms and tracking rework by scanning into E2. (20-30%)
- Perform essential functions of the department assigned (grinding, glazing, etc). (10-20%)
- Maintains safe, organized and clean work area by educating and directing personnel on the use of 5S policies and procedures.
- Observes equipment for proper/safe use, including training on and wear of PPE. (5-10%)
- Performs other duties as assigned. (5-10%)
- Be a positive role model (example) to team members, by following company policies and procedures. This includes, but isn t limited to, personal attendance and tardy, time and attendance entry, wearing of uniforms, etc. (100%)
Knowledge and Abilities
- Able to interpret instructions both written and oral.
- Able to work in a team with co-workers to resolve work-related issues.
- Thorough knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must possess strong leadership skills, with excellent oral communication skills.
- Able to understand and execute detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and shop papers.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2 plus years of experience preferred.
- Leadership experience required.
Physical Demands
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important because it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles.
- Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.
- Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
- Crouching. Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
- Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Pushing. using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward or outward.
- Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Visual acuity requirements. The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Work Environment
The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level.
