Position Overview:

The Guest Services Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Bag Drop, Practice Facilities, and Cart Barn areas at Yorba Linda Country Club. This full-time, outdoor position requires strong leadership, excellent guest service skills, and a proactive attitude to ensure a positive experience for all members and guests. The Supervisor will work closely with the team to manage daily operations, maintain high standards, and create a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Leadership:
    Supervise and support Guest Services staff (Bag Drop attendants, Cart Barn attendants, and Practice Facility staff).
  • Ensure all areas are properly staffed and staff members are trained to provide outstanding service to members and guests.
  • Provide daily leadership and support to staff, ensuring they are prepared for their shifts and know their roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead by example to maintain a high standard of service, professionalism, and appearance.
  • Guest Service & Communication:
    Greet and assist members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Address guest inquiries, issues, or concerns in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring satisfaction and resolution.
  • Maintain regular communication with the management team to provide updates on guest experiences and any issues that arise.
  • Operations Management:
    Oversee the daily operations of the Bag Drop, ensuring clubs and equipment are properly handled, cleaned, and delivered.
  • Manage the Cart Barn, ensuring carts are in good working condition, well-stocked, and promptly available for members and guests.
  • Maintain the Practice Facilities, ensuring they are well-organized, clean, and fully stocked with the necessary equipment.
  • Staff Development & Training:
    Train and develop new staff members in guest service best practices, safety protocols, and daily operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and encouraging professional growth for team members.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    Monitor and ensure the efficient flow of activities at the Bag Drop, Practice Facilities, and Cart Barn, minimizing delays or interruptions.
  • Assist with managing inventory for carts, golf clubs, and other equipment in the facilities.
  • Ensure that all areas are cleaned and maintained to high standards.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Ensure all health and safety standards are met for staff and guests, including safety procedures related to golf carts, club handling, and practice areas.
  • Enforce all club policies and procedures to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all members and guests.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    Previous experience in a guest services, operations, or supervisory role in a hospitality or country club setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with golf operations, including Bag Drop, Practice Facilities, and Cart Barn management, is a plus.
  • Skills:

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve guest concerns efficiently and effectively.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, or move equipment up to 25-50 pounds (e.g., golf bags, carts).
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
  • Occasional weekends or holidays may be required based on club events or peak seasons.
