Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation has an immediate opening for an Systems Engineer with test experience. Testing and installing systems, troubleshooting systems, developing tests plans and writing test procedures. Reading and understanding requirements. Reading and understanding interface documentation for the systems. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of test engineering, troubleshooting and comfortable coordinating with cross functional team members and external business partners.
Essential Functions:
Serve as a Test Engineer in all phases of testing in support of development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems and shipboard systems. Responsibilities will include:
* Test, investigate failures, troubleshoot, and repair program assemblies and systems
* Perform test activities including writing test procedures, test planning, test conduct and test reporting
* Reading and interpreting system and interface requirements
* Troubleshoot and resolve test issues
* Document and monitor test results
* Develop and Interpret Cameo Activity Diagrams
* Identify and interface with suppliers
* Interface with the other engineering disciplines and cross functional teams to ensure proper coordination of project, product, and system requirements
* Work with external business partners to document and maintain Coordinated Interface requirements
* Work with external business partners to establish and maintain Shipyard Installation Test Program (SITP) requirements
* Work with other engineers to develop installation and checkout procedures for flight test instrumentation and shipboard systems
* Contribute to and present during customer reviews
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 3 years of experience developing and writing test plans and procedures. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years experience as a test engineer. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
* 3+ years of experience as a Test Engineer

* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Familiarity with various testing techniques
* Knowledge of quality standards and regulations
* Good troubleshooting skills
* Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and cabling diagrams
Special Requirements :
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Security clearance are required for this position. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater
D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $79,000 - $146,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $69,000 - $128,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3
