Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Job Overview:
Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical leadership and ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations, regulatory compliance, and staff performance in a skilled nursing environment.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations

• Supervise nursing staff and ensure adequate staffing and coverage

• Ensure compliance with NYS, DOH, and CMS regulations

• Support quality assurance, performance improvement, and infection control initiatives

• Participate in staff training, evaluations, and disciplinary processes

• Review clinical documentation and care plans for accuracy and compliance

• Support survey preparedness and response activities

• Address resident and family concerns related to nursing care

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

• Prior nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting

• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
