Are you a hands‑on leader with a passion for safety, sanitation, and infection prevention? Do you thrive managing teams and ensuring high standards across multiple locations? Richmond is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee housekeeping and environmental operations across our largest ICF, 15 residential group homes and 2 day programs — a total of 18 sites!
This is your opportunity to lead a dynamic team, implement best practices in infection control, and ensure safe, healthy environments for the people we support.
What You’ll Do- Lead and supervise housekeeping and laundry teams across 18 locations, providing coaching, training and performance oversight.
- Ensure all sites meet CDC 2025 infection control guidelines, OPWDD and DOH requirements, and organizational policies for environmental safety, health and sanitation.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor staff performance, cleanliness standards and effectiveness of sanitation methods.
- Prepare staff schedules, assign daily cleaning tasks and maintain proper coverage while adhering to budgetary and staffing guidelines.
- Oversee infection control protocols, including isolation, enhanced disinfection and terminal cleaning procedures.
- Train and monitor staff in the proper use of PPE and infection prevention practices.
- Manage equipment, supplies and inventories; ensure safe use and maintenance of cleaning tools and materials.
- Utilize computerized systems for scheduling, reporting, training documentation, incident logs and ADP payroll management.
- Support operational initiatives, process improvements and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across environmental support areas.
- Coordinate and prepare for regulatory inspections, audits and surveys; maintain accurate documentation and corrective action tracking.
- High School diploma or GED required; additional training or certification in Public Health, Environmental Sanitation, Infection Control or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Housekeeping or Environmental Services, preferably in healthcare, residential or congregate care settings.
- Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience, including staff oversight, training and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of CDC infection control standards, OPWDD regulations and environmental sanitation practices.
- Skilled in scheduling, inventory management and operational oversight across multiple sites.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office, ADP and electronic reporting/ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle and ability to maintain Richmond Driver Authorization.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend assignments as needed.
