Central Service Technician at St. John's Riverside Hospital
Responsibilities- Processes sterile surgical instrument trays for the operating room and other ancillary areas.
- Collects, cleans, disinfects, inspects, and sterilizes surgical instrument trays and other medical equipment.
- Maintains inventory and assists with ordering supplies.
- Tracks surgical instrument trays and mobile patient equipment through all phases of the cleaning and sterilization process using established manual systems.
- Reprocesses surgical instruments, operates sterilization and decontamination equipment, and performs routine efficacy tests on equipment.
- High school graduate or equivalence.
- Certification in Central Sterile required from one of the following agencies: CRCST or CSPDT.
- Employee should have general learning ability, verbal understanding of English, and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to perceive and comprehend computer printouts.
