Pediatrician

Position Overview

Pediatrician – Full‑time position at Sun River Health, Yonkers, NY.

Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non‑Profit Health Center serving communities in several counties of New York. We provide comprehensive primary, preventative and behavioral health services to all patients, especially the underserved and vulnerable.

• Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and prescribe treatments and medications within scope of practice.
• Provide off‑hour and hospital coverage for Health Center patients as required.
• Design and participate in quality improvement activities, including medical record peer review and performance audits.
• Supervise clinical activities and documentation of medical providers.
• Coordinate tests, referrals, and care of patients outside the Health Center.
• Set standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening; help develop programs to implement them.
• Maintain accurate and legible medical records.
• Participate in provider meetings.
• Meet productivity, quality, and patient‑satisfaction standards.

Doctorate Degree (MD, DO, DD, PhD, etc.) and a valid Physician License in New York State. Board certification and CPR/BLS required.

• Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures pertinent to pediatric care.
• Competence in delivering healthcare, including preventive health education.
• Collaboration with Health Center staff to maintain high quality standards.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written) preferred.
