Commercial Roofing Estimator

Job Duties:

Prices individual projects so the company can achieve its sales and profit goals. Focuses on the output of accurate proposals and determining scope of work on assigned projects. Functions under minimal supervision with management review and controls to ensure all department and company policies and processes are adhered to on all bids. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Estimate compile bids and generate proposals so that they are completed on time. Make site visits to collect bidding information Work in tandem with National Sales staff to prepare proposals for completion before prospective customer due date Is effective in reading and takeoffs from Plans/Specs for new/re-roof projects. Assist in winning new business by reviewing estimates within established parameters. (Bid Review) Review/prepare proposed project bids in accordance with company bidding procedures with essential overall cost accuracy Participate in post-job review/analysis of actual costs to estimated costs through job cost system for use on future projects Coordinate project activities to attain successful goals on all projects by focusing attention to on time and in budget project completion Assist in winning profitable repeat business by cultivating customer relationships Controlling and prioritizing multiple activities while handling multiple projects Participate in pre-construction meetings Maintain communication with project contacts regarding scheduling Complete project closeout documents Requirements:
Commercial roofing estimating experience (BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems) Must have good communication skills both with customer and coworkers Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Proficient knowledge of computer programs and phone software applications Willing to be trained and use company software (Edge experience a plus) Capable of receiving instructions and clearly explain problems and solutions to customers Must be a motivated and a "self-starter" with professional appearance Must be team orientated The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work to be performed.
