• Variable shifts including day, night and weekend
• Valid SIA Licence
• Full UK Driving Licence (own transport may be required depending on site location)
• Resident in the UK for at least 5 years (required for BPSS and SC clearance)
• Right to work in the UK with a five‑year checkable history (education/employment)
• 1–2 years experience in security, ideally in gatehouse operations, CCTV monitoring and access control
• Strong communication skills in English – written and spoken
• Customer‑focused, polite, tactful and discreet
• IPA literate and comfortable using security systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to pass high‑level security clearance (BPSS and SC)

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors and contractors
• Conducting regular safety and security patrols, both internal and external, in all weather conditions
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures
• Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches
• Maintaining vigilance, reporting incidents and preventing disruption
• Accurately recording all activities and handovers
• Managing access control: controlling points such as vehicle barriers and reception stations, handling access passes
• Managing visitor registration and escorting contractors and visitors, issuing temporary passes and managing vehicle bookings
• Monitoring CCTV: identifying suspicious activity, responding to security breaches and maintaining a proactive presence
• Working closely with the security team and the supervisor, communicating effectively and responding swiftly to incidents
