LocationSomerton depot, within travel from Taunton, Trowbridge, Warminster, Bridgewater, Tiverton, Honiton.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct traffic counts and communicate data to clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain temporary traffic lights for safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Deploy and manage temporary traffic management equipment (cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other essential equipment).
- Mentor new trainees and share knowledge with the team.
- Minimum M1/M2 driving licence (SLG Unit 2 considered).
- Familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
- Full driving licence with no more than 6 points; any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago.
- Positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work weekends, nights and away as required.
- Drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results).
- Traffic management training will be required; signing a training agreement is necessary.
General working hours are 40‑48 hours per week. Shifts typically occur during the day, with potential for evenings, nights, weekends and on‑call rota during peak seasons.
