You’ll be supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives within their community.

You’ll be… Encouraging

  • promote independence where possible and encourage service users to achieve personal goals
  • provide support to ensure the safety and wellbeing of people relying on our services
  • communicate well with service users using their chosen methods to support individuality
  • monitor and report any changes in health or circumstances of a service user to management
  • support service users to engage in the local community from going shopping to attending events

You’ll need…

  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 Diploma or above in Health & Social Care
  • Good understanding of working with individuals with a learning disability and autism
  • Commitment to providing quality care and support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, compassion and a motivational attitude at all times
  • A responsible, dedicated and flexible approach to work
  • Competent IT knowledge and computer skills
  • No previous experience or qualifications are required.
