Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location:

Yeovil, United Kingdom

41 per week

Minimum Requirements:

Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost control, excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end procurement process, securing best value and driving cost efficiency.
  • Manage and report on all project financials, delivering accurate insights and commercial control.
  • Negotiate and agree valuations and variations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Oversee material purchasing and proactive cost management.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance, maintaining documentation and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate closely with site teams to achieve commercial goals and uphold exceptional quality.

Qualifications
  • HNC or Degree in Construction or Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong understanding of high‑end residential construction and standards.
  • Sound knowledge of contract law and property taxation.
  • Understanding of traditional and modern build methods.
  • Confident using Excel and digital reporting tools to analyse data and track performance.
  • Excellent numeracy and commercial management skills, ensuring accuracy and financial control.
