We re currently seeking dedicated Licensed School Speech Language Pathologist Assistants ($40-$45 an hour) to support students of all ages in the Yelm, WA area for the school year

Qualifications
  • AA Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program, or BA in Communications Disorders.
  • Currently hold Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification for the state of Washington.
  • Valid driver’s license and have reliable, insured transportation.
Role Overview

As an SLPA, you will assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school setting. You will also implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists for students. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

    Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screening as directed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.
  • Implement the treatment program or the individual education plan (IEP) as designed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist.
  • Work with classroom teachers to implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students.
  • Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for maturity level and interests of students.
